Extraspace Solutions and Sisk have teamed up in the offsite construction of modular units, for projects in three major Dublin hospitals.
- The Mater Misericordiae
- The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Cappagh
- The National Children’s Hospital, Crumlin
The projects have a cumulative value in excess of €10 million and involve the offsite construction of circa 2,000m2 with a total of 70 modular units.
The projects are briefly outlined below:
- The Mater Misericordiae
This project involves the provision of 28 Modular accommodation units, combining to give a total facility of 700m2. This facility, an eight floor extension to the existing hospital, will function as a multi disciplinary area housing both medical and administrive professionals.
- The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Cappagh
The installation of three Modular Orthopaedic Laminar Flow Theatres demonstrates a suitable partnership, with Extraspace Solutions providing the Modular building and Sisk through its healthcare division, providing the medical fit out.
The three theatres, delivered to site in mid November and were handed over by December 23rd representing a fantastic effort by all involved to turnaround such a significant facility in a short time period.
- The National Children’s Hospital, Crumlin
The offsite constructed modular building consists of 30 Modules erected on a prepared steel base. The building will be used as a Paediatric primary care unit, at first floor level, with the existing wounds department being relocated to the ground floor.
The project commenced in August 2010 and was completed in December 2010
